Special meeting: we will be voting on the updated Bylaws. We will be at White Guava as usual, and we'll be opening a Zoom link:
We can only vote 🗳 if one-third of our members are present. That's 33 of us, and that's considerably more than our usual recent attendance. So please make time to attend if you can.
The meeting speaker will be our own Marcia Prose, who's also President of the the Friends of the Children's Justice Center of East Hawaii (FOCJCEH). The Friends are always a beneficiary of our Brewfest, and they do a lot of good in the community. Come hear what they are doing these days.
In-Person attendees should register or RSVP by Thursday so that we can get a count to the restaurant.
Please keep in mind: The Rotary Club of Hilo recognizes the responsibility of our Club members to each other and to the community. Therefore -- in addition to following all county guidelines — it is our policy that all attendees at meetings and other events will have been vaccinated for Covid or will have a recent negative Covid test. We will not check documents before events because we rely on the integrity of our members and guests.

The Rotary Four-Way Test refers to building better friendships through respect, trust, reciprocity, shared experience, and mutual enjoyment of each other’s company. If you’re looking for some of that in your life, I have the thing just for you … SOCIAL SQUAD!!
We had another successful gathering in April where we raised $320 for The Boys & Girls Club of the Big Island, we're thrilled to announce the May Social Squad event!
The mission of the Rotary Club of Hilo Social Squad is socializing with purpose by providing impactful support & awareness to local causes, organizations, and projects. This month we'll be supporting our friends at The YWCA of Hawaii Island.
The YWCA of Hawaiʻi Island is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
Join us at Temple Bar on Wednesday May 25, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. We will collect a donation of $20 per person at the door that will directly support the great work of the YWCA of Hawaii Island.
Social Squad is also a great way to introduce new people to Rotary. Bring a friend and enjoy a fun a night of Socializing with Purpose! |
