Aloha fellow Rotarians, Our first quarterly Clean up at the Rotary Kalanianaole Park starts at 7am. Please bring your favorite tools. (Power tools are the best, weedehackers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers). We will be cleaning the Hilo Seaside area of the park. Don’t forget your gloves, sunscreen and hat. Huki Pau, means as soon as we are done, we can sit down and enjoy the park So, come and spend a few hours with your fellow Hilo Rotarians and learn the history of this tiny park Lunch and refreshments will be provided please RSVP to this email Wally |

Aloha, You are invited to join your fellow club members and some very special guests at the Rotary Club of Hilo’s CELEBRATION GALA, A Salute to 100 Years of Membership and Service at Nani Mau Gardens; Friday, December 3, 2021, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The wait is over and we can now celebrate together! The Club will take care of the cost of dinner for our regular members (This will come out of our 100th Anniversary account. Members have been paying an extra $25 in dues for the past several years in anticipation of the centennial celebration.). For spouses and other guests, the cost will be $55 each. There will be a no-host bar, a short program with special guests, live dinner music, a photo booth, games, after-dinner dancing, and more! Masks are required when not seated at your table. Current county COVID guidelines will be in place and adhered to. Do plan on joining in on all the festivities! Register you and your guests by November 23rd. Registered invited guests that do not attend will still need to pay their cost.
Note: This event is in place of our Friday, December 3rd meeting. |

Aloha Club Members, Friday's meeting will be in-person at the White Guava Cafe. Lisa Rantz, a member of this club and also Executive Director of the Hilo Medical Center Foundation. She will speak about how HIlo is addressing a consistent challenge for rural communities: how to recruit doctors. The White Guava Cafe will provide our buffet luncheon, as usual. Please note, however, that the price has changed from $20 to $25. This now includes tax and a tip for the restaurant staff. Beverages are included, as always.
