Rotary Park Work Day II

East Hawaiian Rotary Clubs gathered at Hilo's Kuhio Kalanianaole Park for their second clean-up Day as part of the "Rotary Park Phase II" project.  Included were the Rotary Club of Hilo, Rotary Club of Hilo Bay, Rotary Club of South Hilo, Rotary Club of Pahoa Sunset and the Rotary Club of Volcano.  Between 30 and 40 members, friends and family came to help for the morning.

Mike Robinson of the Hilo Club is the project head and has done a great job in getting the clubs organized for the day.  Great progress was made in opening up some of the overgrown areas. Five member's pick-up trucks were used to make numerous trip to the county's green waste facility. After the lunch break a dedicated few stayed for an additional hour of cutting and hauling to the dump.

Lunch was provided by AJ & Son Catering with plenty to eat and drink.
