Joe Hanley Jr. Honored
The Friends of the Children's Justice Center of East Hawaii honored Hilo Rotarian Joe Hanley Jr. with their Outstanding Service Award for his 25 year association and work with the their organization. Hanley was the first president of their board and was instrumental in helping build this Partnership for Children. Presenting the award was current FCJC-EH President, Jay Kimura. The FCJC-EH has close ties with the Rotary Club of Hilo and was a beneficiary from this year's Hilo Brewfest.
The Rotary Club of Hilo was one of the Blue Ribbon Sponsors of the event that was held at the Hilo Hawaii Hotel. Twelve Rotarians and many friends and family joined in congratulating Joe.
