Club President's Awards

Rotary Club of Hilo's President presided over over his last meeting on Friday with a recap of the club's accomplishments for the year.  During the meeting he presented two Club President's Awards, the Spirit Award to Jean Sugiyama (on left) and the Quiet Rotarian Award to Cindy Boots (on right).  The Spirit Award goes to a new member that embodies spirit of Rotary in becoming involved in the club's activities. The Quiet Rotarian award goes to the member that goes about the club's business without seeking notoriety.

Jean Sugiyama joined the club on July 12, 2013 in President Kerry's first meeting as this year's president.  She immediately became involved in expanding the existing club website and completed the transition to the new version of the website this spring.  Cindy Boots, our club's Sergeant-at-Arms, comes early and stays late at each meeting and event to ensure every every aspect of the meeting runs smoothly.  Both Jean and Cindy have made a significant contribution to the club.
